The Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) of Lebanon, in collaboration with
An-Nahar newspaper, the International Management and Training Institute (IMTI)
and the Forum For Parliamentary Dialogue (FFPD), is implementing, through funds
from the Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) the Policy Innovation for
Leadership Learning and Reform Project.
The project extends over a year starting in September 2005 and aims at
developing knowledgeable, transparent, and accountable leadership among
citizens, especially youth and women; creating habits of better cooperation
between citizens and parliament; strengthening cooperation between civil
society organizations (CSOs) and the media; raising general awareness of
citizen rights and responsibilities by reaching 30% of the Lebanese population
through the national media.
These aims will be achieved through a series of activities targeting youth
groups, media and civil society organizations in the country.
